Demon is a powerful dark Digimon who is served by the Demon Corps. He is coldly menacing and arrogant,[1] and relies on threats to force others to obey his will.[2]
Demon is capable of opening his own gates to and from the Digital World.[2]

Digimon Adventure 02[edit]
In the aftermath of the Chosen Children's mission around the world on Christmas Day 2002, Demon sends the Demon Corps into Tokyo to track down Ichijouji Ken in late December, in order to take his Dark Seed.
Immediately following the defeat of the Corps' Skull Satamon by the Chosen Children, Demon appears to them in person in Ginza and demands that Ken accomppany him. However, he is immediately thwarted by Archnemon, who uses the children that she and Oikawa Yukio have abducted to blackmail Ken into accompanying her instead. Demon is offended, but allows Archnemon to take Ken and retreats.[1]
Two of the Demon Corps, Lady Devimon and Marin Devimon continue to attack the city and clash with the Chosen Children into the evening, peeling many of them off the pursuit of Ken in Oikawa's truck until only Motomiya Daisuke remains. After the sun has set, Demon himself once again appears at Hikarigaoka, directly in the path of the truck.[3]
Demon's appearance forces Oikawa's truck to stop. The two face off, and Demon threatens Oikawa into handing Ken over. Oikawa, however, has already gotten what he needs from Ken and duplicated the seed for implanting into the abducted children, so he willingly surrenders Ken, but before he can, Daisuke, V-mon and Wormmon rush them and take Ken back. Demon easily rebuffs both sides' attempts to attack him and physically enlarges himself. The other Chosen Children and their Digimon, Silphymon and Shakkoumon, arrive to reinforce Daisuke and Ken, while Oikawa and his allies fall back and watch from the sidelines. As the battle continues, Demon remains totally impervious to the partner Digimon attacks, although Imperialdramon and Shakkoumon succeed in shielding the group against Demon's Flame Inferno.
In an attempt to coerce Ken into coming quietly, Demon unleashes his Flame Inferno at the inhabitants of the Hikarigaoka apartments who are watching the battle. Imperialdramon Mode Changes into its Fighter Mode and uses its Hikari no Barrier to hold off the flames for as long as it can, with Shakkoumon's assistance. When the Chosen Children come up with the idea of just sending Demon back to the Digital World, Demon demonstrates his ability to open gates by himself, to prove to them that sending him back would be fruitless.
Although the group begins to falter, Takaishi Takeru and Yagami Hikari come up with the idea of sending Demon to a world other than the Real or Digital Worlds: the Dark Ocean. With the support of the other Chosen Children, Ken pushes through the pain that the darkness causes him and morphs Demon's opened gate to the Digital World into a dark gate using his D-3. Imperialdramon, Silphymon and Shakkoumon concentrate their fire on Demon to force him through the dark gate, and as it closes behind him, Demon threatens the Chosen Children that they will regret imprisoning him and laughs maniacally.[2]

Following the destruction of Ordinemon and the foiling of Yggdrasill's plan in 2005, the Mysterious Man offhandedly mentions Demon to himself as one of several possibilities for evil Digimon who could be used in Yggdrasill's next plan for conquest.[4]
