"Generation"?[edit]

In addition to Level, should we also note that evolution stages can be referred to as Generation (世代 Sedai)? I noticed the term is one of the sorting options in Cyber Sleuth, and it does come up in a few Digimon profiles (ex. Bommon). --Yamato-san (talk) 11:35, 14 September 2020 (CDT)

Xros Up Uniqueness?[edit]

I have been thinking about this lately, should we consider wiki-wise the Xros Up specifically from Young Hunters as separate species? Unlike the DigiXros forms from Xros Wars, there's not a single Xros Up that shows something unique in their name or powers, instead they just seem like temporary power ups. Maybe after the defeat of DarknessBagramon the inherent power of the Xros Loader has been shaped and potentially downgraded, resulting in a less strong bonds between mons, in fact in order to make a fusion of more than 2 Digimon in Young Hunters, you need at least 2 Generals/Hunters.

Even more relevant, not a single one has been acknowledged by Toei or Bandai as a separate species even for the slightest on the form of any profile or official mention (not even Xros Up Arresterdramon SM (Brave Snatcher), which leads me to think they should be handled in a similar way as the AppGattai from Appmon (eg. Globemon + Shutmon), or rather like the Trailmon species (one single page for "Xros up Arresterdramon", for example). What do you guys think? I am eager to hear your opinions on this. --Shadow Shinji (talk) 10:02, 2 June 2021 (CDT)

In my opinion I agree, Xros Ups should be treated exactly like AppLinks. Single pages for each dominant Xros Up Digimon also seems like a good idea, or even something like the Armor Evolution table. ShikaSS (talk) 15:57, 2 June 2021 (CDT)
this doesnt seem like the correct place to discuss this. Maybe the Hunters page. Anyway, toei/bandai seem to treat "Xros Up" as just one species kinda like Trailmon. But, I think it's easier to convey information on their own separate articlesMuur (talk) 20:20, 2 June 2021 (CDT)
Feel free to move the discussion wherever you think it's a more appropiate place. That's it, something like just having let's say "Arresterdramon" evolving into "Xros Up Arresterdramon", and all the different forms in one single page would be way more convenient than having 8 different pages of essentially differents forms of the same Power Up. Or even remove totally the Xros Up category and merging them into the original Digimon's species page, kinda like the Mutant Digimon from Linkz or the Burst Modes from Digimon Accel, or the aforementioned examples of the AppLinks from Appmon, I wouldn't personally be mad about it. Besides, there are the "spoof" Digimon Shōkai Corner Xrosses thaat are listed no where. The chart idea is a very good one I may say. For the record, only Arresterdramon, Astamon, Ballistamon, Dorulumon, Gumdramon, Mervamon, Omega Shoutmon, Opossummon, Shoutmon, Submarimon & Tuwarmon have Xros Up forms. --Shadow Shinji (talk) 16:30, 3 June 2021 (CDT)

Page title[edit]

Why *is* this page called "Evolution Stage", anyway? I was always under the impression that "level" was by far the most common term used for this concept in both Japanese and English media. Not to say that other terms for it aren't worth noting, because they absolutely are, but given that 99% of the time people will be looking for this concept under the name "level", wouldn't it make more sense for this page to be under that title? (And what materials do call this concept 進化段階, out of curiosity?) --Pluvia (talk) 05:05, 1 June 2022 (CDT)
